Markin MacPhail Centre, 88 Canada Olympic Road SW

The third annual Legacy Gala, held at the Markin MacPhail Centre, is sure to be one of the year’s most talked about events. Guests will be taken back to the 1930s and will join Olympians in a vintage circus-themed evening where they’ll witness jaw-dropping circus acts and partake in authentic midway games and a live auction. The gala will feature some of the best cuisine in the city prepared by more than a dozen of Calgary’s most distinguished chefs. With more than a dozen Canadian athletes confirming their participation in the event, this will sure to be a remarkable evening. So far Hayley Wickenheiser, Michelle Salt, Kyle Shewfelt, and Helen Upperton are some of the confirmed star athletes to be attending the event. Make sure to dress in your best vintage or cocktail attire and be ready for a magical night.

The WinSport Legacy Gala is a celebration of winter sport, with a focus on helping to fund the development of young athletes who train at WinSport and WinSport Canmore. The Gala has a profound impact on Canadian athletes striving to achieve the highest level of success in their sport. All of the net proceeds from the Legacy Gala are invested directly into athletes and athlete development — in programs, coaching, equipment and/or bursaries — to help athletes reach their potential. None of the proceeds are spent on overhead, administration or general operating costs.

Single tickets to the fundraising night are $200, which includes food and beverages. Attendees can also sponsor the event, which gets you a full gala table, by contacting Elise Marcotte at emarcotte@winsport.ca or 403-247-5475 for more information.
