Douglasglen occupies a large area of the southeast sector of Calgary. The community is home to 6000 residents, 1000 houses, 500 businesses and covers approximately 328 hectares of land. The area includes Douglasglen as well as Douglasglen Business Park. The residents enjoy an extensive pathway system that leads to several playgrounds, tennis courts and a skating rink with boards.

Through the use of natural topographic features, particularly the Bow River escarpment, local residents can enjoy the views of the river valley and of the Rocky Mountains beyond. Residents are also able to take full advantage of the many recreational opportunities that Fish Creek Provincial Park has to offer. The park encompasses Lake Sikome and connects fully to Calgary’s extensive recreational pathway system.

Douglasglen is located in the southeast sector of Calgary between the deerfoot Trail and the southern stretches of the Bow River. Deerfoot access is at Douglasdale Blvd (24th St SE). Access from Macleod Trail is via Anderson Road at the Bow Bottom Trail – Anderson – Deerfoot spaghetti interchange.
